Tahini and Chocolate Protein Squares

Apple picking is a great family activity in the fall. Once the harvest has been brought home, it’s time to get cooking and enjoy this beautiful Quebec fruit! Here’s a recipe for homemade apple butter, infused with those fall flavors we love so much. This delicious recipe, comforting on those cooler days ahead, is perfect for a complete breakfast or snack.
Yield: Approximately ¾ cup apple butter
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 40 minutes
Tip for a nutritious, satiating breakfast or snack: Mix 1-2 tbsp apple butter with ¾ cup plain 2% Greek yogurt and ¼ cup granola for a little crunch.
* You can replace any or all spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger) with 4-spice mix to taste (1 to 2 tsp).
