Having the desire to take charge of ourselves can seem like a huge mountain to climb. Doesn’t it?
We look left and right, and gather information about everything that exists in the hope of finding the miracle solution. After trying several different diets and methods, we finally become disheartened and give up, because the deprivation is too important and the expected results just aren’t there. We easily gain back the hard-lost kilos, and often a little more!
Losing weight, getting back in shape by moving more, and learning to eat healthy by making better choices is possible! By integrating new habits to your daily routine, you will quickly feel the benefits of these little changes. Within the first few days, you will already have more energy!
Physical benefits
When I began training, I quickly noticed improvements. Before, I used to be out of breath after climbing a flight of stairs. In addition, my back used to hurt, a shoulder injury nagged me, and I suffered from headaches. When I was invited to sports activities, I used to say: ‘’I’ll pass!’’ I wasn’t in good physical condition, and had lost the will to be active. After only one meeting with my trainer and a few training sessions, the pain was fading and my energy levels were increasing. Being active and eating healthy made me want to move again. I was over with tiredness and loss of interest, and no more disappointments of always saying no. I was done making excuses! Now, I have only one desire, to move and to encourage others to do the same.
Psychological benefits
Being overweight was affecting my thoughts and the way I saw myself. Something as common as shopping for clothes had become a real ordeal. With the beginning of my transformation, I noticed the weight loss and started appreciating even more the choice I had made and the process in which I had put myself in. In addition, the quality of my sleep and concentration was improving, which incited me to pursue projects I had put aside. Losing these pounds, seeing that I could succeed so quickly was a revelation to me. Training has become a priority in my life. I do not ever want to go back to square one. I am bursting with energy, vitality, and enthusiasm!
I have gone through it and am convinced that once you have decided to do it, nothing will stop you. Surround yourself with a trainer and a nutritionist who will guide you, provide you with tools and encourage you. Add some willpower and dedication, and I am sure that results will come!
And you? What positive changes have you noticed after taking charge of your life?
